Resumé
In the Design Innovation & Society (DIS) program at RPI, we explore how products, systems, and infrastructure interact with the social, political, and environmental forces that shape them. Using transdisciplinary methods, from scientific research, historical analysis and legal review, we design for the complexities that make up the real world around us.
DIS challenges traditional design by focusing on users, communities, and systems. It empowers me to draw from diverse methods and perspectives to create thoughtful, user-centered, and ecologically conscious solutions.
My design practice moves across disciplines. I work at the intersections of design, business, public health, and social theory to create systems that are thoughtful and responsive.
The constellation map in this portfolio shows the range of tools, ideas, and frameworks I use. Each circle represents a focus area I return to in my work, like harm reduction, infrastructure, feminist theory, or innovation.
Different projects activate different parts of the map. The constellations shift depending on the context, the people involved, and the questions being asked.
The map changes because my practice does too. It is shaped by care, collaboration, and the systems I am working within.
